EMT Dress Code

The three people in church clothes are local EMTs from Woodruff at a car crash in the mountains. Okay, so we don't really have a dress code. The reason they're in church clothes is because they were in church when their radio pagers and cell phones went off.

I live in a very rural area. Sometimes, like say when a baby gets really, really sick, we call in the air ambulance to meet our ground EMT crew. A couple of days ago we made a transfer on the high school football field. It wasn't the first time. As the air ambulance flew away caring for its precious passenger, the few people who'd been drawn by the activity were treated to the sight of angels on wings.

The cream of society, they are. I'm talking about my EMT buddies. These are the people who voluntarily put service to others sometimes over their own needs. It's a powerful motivational energy.
