The Lovely Ms. Bullwinkle, Taken Before Her Time

This gorgeous young cow moose had the misfortune of wandering onto a mountain highway (the top of Logan Canyon above Garden City, Utah) last night. The small car that hit her and its occupants suffered damage too. Happily, the people will live.

Moose have reputations for being gangly and cantankerous animals. They are also, to me, very beautiful.

Can Opener

That's what the "jaws of life" is. A great big can opener. And the motor vehicle is the can. The people are the good stuff inside.

We like to get to the good stuff.

This guy will be okay. His little truck won't.

Oops.

It's a big deal when you miss a corner in a big truck loaded with packaged milk. Happily, the driver came out of this with a few minor glass cuts. The scene was Logan Canyon, above Bear Lake.

Spring Has Sprung

Remember the old poem?

Spring has sprung,
The grass has rizz,
Where last year's careless
Drivers is.

This guy didn't die, but his poor Jeep Grand Cherokee did. It's Spring. And the trickle of crashes we're having now will turn into a flood during the next months.
